Ordinary Person

I'm an ordinary person who has been blessed with extraordinary ability and I feel that these abilities have been given to me to serve humanity. God is infinite and everywhere in a very real sense, not in a metaphysical sense. God is a miraculous force, a real energy that stretches from one end of the universe to the other into infinity. It is in every particle of matter and every second of the time space continuum, holding up the very fabric of time and space. God is not a human personality but a presence and a force that when experienced is akin to the ecstasy of an ecstatic vision. Our lives are often short and very uncertain. We are born, we live in fear and ignorance and moments of joy and truth and then we must die. The uncertainty and the pain we feel in every day life and the randomness of the universe makes us search for meaning and feel as if we cannot find it. Take heart for all of life is infused with meaning because death is not the end of our being. All of human and animal life emanates from God and in time returns to it like a drop of water that falls from the sky must someday return to the clouds. Our lives are terrifying because we will all eventually die. Everyone we know will eventually die and in time it will be as if we had never existed here on earth, thus filling us with dread and feelings of insignificance. Take heart for death is not the end. Take heart for life and every moment is infused with meaning. When we die our personality is destroyed and all of the things that we call ourselves are destroyed, our titles, our very names are cast off as we cast off our bodies and only the core being, the force that emanates within us is indestructible. Each and every one of us has a part of the God force within us and perhaps together collectively all living things make up a part of this force that while living is animated and in death is summoned back to the source like a salmon that returns from the sea. We are not our personalities, our names, our titles, our possessions, or our belief systems. We are all at our core indestructible and eternal destined to become a permanent part of that ecstatic vision of power and infinity we call God. You seek comfort and control and pleasure here on earth and seek to avoid pain and fear as is natural. Perhaps instead you might relinquish your quest for control over your world and instead come to know and control that which is yourself. The inner knowledge is the most difficult and rewarding. In place of power and wealth if you would seek to find your way more surely back to the source of ecstatic power you should serve the emanations of God that are the living things around you. Titles and gold and comfort are good things to have but like your personality and your body you must eventually cast them off. Unburden yourself not by becoming a pauper or a follower but rather by being true to your own vision of what God would have you do in the short time that you are here. To come to understand yourself in ways that are both frightening and painful is the path of the poet and the philosopher and not for the timid but the rewards can be beyond calculation. Take care that this quest for self knowledge does not destroy you for like the search for the grail or other impossible knowledge it is a journey through hidden dangers. Do not immediately shun the simple life and well worn paths that call to us for only a few will find their way all the way back to the source. Not everyone can make the journey because we must live in this world, earn our bread, bear the children, and live lives consumed by the passions of the hour. Perhaps that is the task of a few to make such a journey for the many. And so I have made the journey and returned with gifts like Gilgamesh, Beowulf, Lancelot, or Jack in the Bean Stalk, bearing gifts hoping to share the bounty and to give to all people everywhere. Take care to remember that the goose that laid the golden egg was cut open to discover the secret and instead the gift was destroyed. I believe that humanity has come to a turning point in history and either we as human beings will change our chosen direction and create an earthly paradise as well as we are able or by default we will suffer terrible calamity and inhabit a world of misery and death. I am not so full of pride as to think that I will be able to save humanity from itself and the urge toward self destruction but I am sure that it is my appointed task to try to over come such a terrible fate for mother earth and all God's children. It is not written that either we shall succeed or fail but it is our task to try. And even if we fail and perish in defeat still take heart for death is not the end.
